As you can tell by all of these park posts, we were at the park literally all day. When we got back home, Callie could barley lift her head she was so tired. Nothing is better than having a tired dog!!

Park - May 26th, 2014 - Part 2
Most of these pictures have Callie covered in a combo of dirt and mud. After a cooling dip in the pond....Callie proceeded run straight to a patch of dirt, totally ignoring all the nice grass, and the rolled in it. As we were leaving, we had to rinse her off at the park with a hose and then give her a bath when we got home. She is such a tomboy sometimes!

Park - May 26th, 2014 - Part 1
Memorial day weekend, Andrew had decided to declare it the weekend of yard work....much to my dismay. Then he made a deal with me. As long as I was at the dog park, I didn't have to do any yard work. Because of my hatred for all things manual labor, I stayed at the dog park for several hours hoping that Andrew would be done with all the work by the time I got back. My plan totally worked, he was done with the yard work when I got back!! Then, in awesome Callie news, we even set up a play date for her the next morning. Thankfully the dog park is 18 acres, plenty to see and do for hours on end.

Bed Hog - May 20th, 2014
Callie is a notorious bed hog. The second she realizes it is bed time, she grabs a toy and runs into bed. You have to be pretty quick if you want a space to sleep....and if you want blankets....well that is just asking too much.
After brushing my teeth, I go into the bedroom to find this. Callie had wrapped the blanket around her and had her hedgehog....happily ready for bed.....sadly leaving no room for anyone else on the bed, but at least she was comfortable!
Big thanks to Great Grandma for hedgehog....he is a constant companion for bed time. Every little girl needs a stuffed animal to sleep with!

Mother's Day Walk - May 18th, 2014
We had to postpone Mother's Day this year until we could all get together. Callie was thrilled to be able to see her Grandparents again. Callie loved Grandma's wish to go for a Mother's Day walk.
Callie just loves playing in the field down the street from Grandpa's house.

Fishing - May 18th, 2014
While Grandma was opening presents, Callie spotted Stuart (their neighbour) fishing off of his dock.
Callie likes to watch Stuart fish....Stuart doesn't mind as long as Callie doesn't bark and scare the fish away.
Uncle Jason had to go get Callie....she kept looking back, so sad she is not able to watch Stuart fish.
After telling Callie to come and her ignoring us....then having Uncle Jason go to get her....she comes running back and expects a treat.....um, yeah Cal, try listening next time the first time we call you....

Callie's Fence
When we first got Callie, we had a fence company come out and give us an estimate for fencing in the yard.....it was a lot. We looked into putting in a fence ourselves....the cost was still a tad high.
When she was just a little puppy and still sick, we just set up a small temporary fence for her off the deck so we could let her out at night with out having to walk her around on a leash.
But as she got older, she wanted to explore more and we had to come up with a fencing solution fast.
We ended up getting some goat fence......its not pretty but it works. In great news, you really can't see it unless you are right up next to it.
Andrew called out his brother Sean and in one afternoon, they built Callie a fence for under $200.
We were not expecting it to last, but it has been up for almost a year now and it is holding up pretty well.
Thankfully Callie is really good and has never tried to jump the fence. If she sees a squirrel outside the fence, she just sits and stares at it. If she was any bigger or more determined, this cheap fence solution wouldn't work but for us, it is working out perfectly!!

Sleeping After a Run - May 18th, 2014
Grandma took Callie on a 4 mile run.....not sure why Grandpa is so tired, he didn't go for a run, but Callie sure does like snuggling and taking a rest!!
