Sick

It has been a week now where someone in the house has been sick with a cold/strep/allergies/icky, but Callie doesn't mind, she is not picky on who she gets to snuggle with, just as long as the snuggling lasts all day.

Laptop

Using my laptop in bed, I look up and see this......I just can't say no to that face.  Guess I should put the laptop down and start petting.

June 15th, 2014 - Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Nothing better then rolling down a hill. 

When Callie was a puppy, she would lay at the top of the hill and Grandpa would push her down so she could roll.  

Callie has now figured out how to throw her weight down the hill to get a good roll going.  

No trip to Grandpa's is complete without a good roll down the hill.

June 15th, 2014 - Bath Time

In May, I had to go out of town for work.  I was gone for 2 weeks, and because Callie is spoiled, she was able to spend the entire 2 weeks at Grandpa's house.

But, during her 2 weeks at Grandpa's, Callie picked up a new bad habit.

Thanks to Grandpa, Callie has learned:
1. Crates are for suckers, sleeping in the bed is the way to go.
2. Dog stores put the best items at Callie level and anything she licks she can take home with her.
3. The grill is a magical place where food always falls from.

Callie's new trick is that after bath time, she runs to the freezer for ice cream.

As much as Callie loves swimming, she hates bath time.  Like a good Grandpa, he bribed Callie during her bath.  If she was good, she could have ice cream.  It only took 2 baths where she got ice cream after that Callie decided this was now a thing.  The next time I gave her a bath at home, Callie ran right to the kitchen and sat in front of the freezer waiting for her ice cream!!

After all day playing in the lake, Grandpa gave Callie a bath, and just like he taught her, Callie came running to the freezer after bath time.

June 15th, 2014 - The Lake Monster

Callie has been having a blast this summer playing at Grandma and Grandpa's and Father's Day Weekend was the best yet.

Callie loves playing in the water. Her favorite is when we splash her and she tries to attack the water coming at her. If we don't splash quickly enough for her, she comes over to us and cries until we start splashing again.

 Her new thing is being a Lake Monster. She launches her self out of the water and attacks the splash.

To keep Callie happy because she is just about the world's most spoiled dog, Grandpa put a chair in the water off the beach and started splashing!!!

The Lake Geneva Monster has risen!!!

Callie just loves helping Grandpa doing yard work in the water.  She is such a good helper, she always helps Grandpa fetch those pesky sticks from the water.

Callie brought Grandpa a big stick.....everyone likes playing Grrrr on the beach!
